Motion / Flash Developer -Lucidia Studios Ltd.

The Motion Developer at Lucidia creates animation and works with video designed specifically for the Internet and that inspires our clients and their audiences. They specialize in understanding how animation and video work in the context of the online experience. A fine attention to detail is essential as they plan and implement complex Flash projects related to the web, and edit video. The Motion Designer works with a fair degree of independence, interpreting our client’s needs as outlined in creative briefs and by the Art Director, Creative Director, and Client Strategists.

Using Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop, Flash and other visual effects programs, the Motion Designer mixes science and art together on behalf of our clients. Their work demonstrates an understanding of client’s needs and on occasion they also work directly with clients and other designers to explain design concepts and manage design feedback. They work within project schedules and within deadlines to ensure our designs are consistent with client expectations and overall project goals.

Responsibilities:

* Create innovative animated work under the direction of an Art Director.
* Work with designers and programmers to ensure an integrated experience
* Follow creative direction while working independently in a fast-paced environment
* Manage Flash projects from conception to execution
* Edit video using Adobe Premiere and After Effects
* Conceptualize, design and produce Flash elements within a wide variety of media
* Work with Flash in both hands-on design and development
* Maintain up to date knowledgeable of web concepts and digital trends

Required Skill and Experience :

* 3+ years of Motion/Digital video experience
* 3+ years of Flash experience
* 3+ years of Photoshop experience
* Ability to integrate Flash with XML
* Intermediate knowledge of ActionScript 3
* College diploma and/or equivalent experience
* Knowledge of Flex an asset
